Giveaway Winners

This past Marriage Monday you shared some great feedback about stresses during the holidays. We'll start looking at some of those next week, along with some encouragement for getting a little peace on earth. If you have insights that have helped you, I'd love to hear those too.

Congratulations to four readers who won a copy of the CD gifts donated by the hosts at our B&B last weekend. Pastor Joe's Christian country style of music is full of truth about how to live out our faith. And the winners are ...
  • Mary Kate
  • Kathy
  • Warren B
  • Jennifer
Just email your addresses to me, and I'll get these CDs in the mail to you asap. I hope you'll be encouraged!
In my country, tomorrow is Veterans Day. It's the day we honor those who have been willing to give their lives to protect others, and in some cases, they've paid that ultimate price. It's a sacrifice that reminds us of our Jesus:
John 15:13 ~ Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.

I was amazed to learn that "26% of all homeless individuals are United States veterans."  This year there are more than ever. The homeless ministry in our city provides a special dinner, in honor of veterans, to all the homeless guests they serve. Yesterday they served over 800 meals. Jeff and I get to go with a group of women from our church to transform the dining hall into a patriotic place of celebration. Others will go and serve the meal to people who have served us before and now experience new challenges. If you have five minutes just to listen, click on this video clip from KARM to hear about the who's becoming homeless today and how our changed economy is stretching resources to care for the poor here in the United States.

I'm so thankful that there was one Man who laid down His life for me.  You?
