Congratulations to Jacquie of Joy Made Full. She is the winner of the November giveaway, which is a table runner hand embroidered by the dear women of Heart House in Bangladesh. Jacquie has a busy house with little ones, and she is ready to decorate for Christmas, so this will be a great addition to her home. Blessings, Jacquie!
Let me take this chance to share a glimpse of the wonderful day our women's ministry had on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. This was our "Hometown Holiday." Our guest speaker was Sharon Hoffman from nearby Maryville.
2 or More from neighboring Farragut led in worship & blessed us with harmony reminding me of the song the angels must've sang over the manger in Bethlehem. Whew! Those girls can sing!
And our 25 tables were decorated to represent the people, the ministries, and the special places of Knoxville ... our earthly home. Our ladies showed off their creativity! These 3 are just a sampling. Need centerpiece ideas? Email me. ;) I have pictures to inspire you.
Sharon shared a message encouraging us to be "Blessed not Stressed" during the season of Christ's birth. It was full of uplifting words reminding us that the birth of our Savior should cause us to be women of hopeful and joyful spirits, and that makes a difference in our hometown!
eLisa of "Extravagant Grace" challenged me to bring the "Holy" back to this holiday season. You can read her thoughts here as you strive to celebrate our Savior this month. I find that when I put the "Holy" into its rightful place, there just isn't much room left for all of the distractions of the season.
Blessings to you as you begin the celebration of this Holy season ~

Congrats to you, Jacquie!
The hometown holiday sounds wonderful. I particularly like the first table pictured.
Hope you have a lovely Wednesday, Julie.
Thank you so much Julie! I've just sent my info and am looking forward to that beautiful table runner!
Julie, this sounds like a wonderful event! I'm going to add it to the BLESSED resources for our women's ministry. Thanks, too, for posting about Bringing Holy Back. Glad to partner with you in this!
Blessings,
eLisa
