What would make them get rid of winter clothes, let go of security, embrace absence from family, and train their tongue to do what it's un-born to do? Around the table they all know it's for one passion, one calling of their common citizenship: to carry the story of the transformer Jesus by their beautiful feet ... until they finally go home.
Philippians 3:20-21But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.
We are spending this week in our Global Missions Conference with our international partners, fellow citizens of heaven, reaching the world. It's a sweet week and such a good reminder for me that, while this place may be my earthly dwelling, this world is not my "home." It's easy to forget that.
What helps you to remember that this world is not our "home?"
Sounds like such an awesome opportunity to serve! God be with you as you work with these soldiers.
